Naming of Street In Honor of Larry Ellis
One of our ongoing efforts is to name a section of South Joliet Street in front of St. Mark CME Church in honor of our dear friend, the late Reverend Larry Ellis.
Larry was the spiritual leader of Speak Up!
Preserving our Legacy of Joliet Black History. Let's Speakup About It
In 2021 a small group of us started the ball rolling to
preserve an important part of Joliet's History.
This is an ongoing project.
